爱尔兰民谣《The Fields of Athenry》
Athenry是爱尔兰一地名，这首民谣诞生在19世纪正处在大饥荒时期的爱尔兰，当时马铃薯欠收，再加上英国殖民者的残酷统治，无数爱尔兰人被活活饿死，为了求得生存的爱尔兰人，一部分选择了离开，乘船前往美洲大陆，去寻找他们的梦想，对于离开的人而言，无疑是痛苦的，因为他们要离开自己的亲人，自己的朋友，还有生他的土地……而没有选择离开的人目送载着亲人的船只消失在海平线……
寂寞原野 The Fields Of Athenry。说到这首歌，却是有些来头的。最早大约是爱尔兰的民间小调，1979年被Dropkick Murphys编入唱片，在苏格兰可算脍炙人口，据说每逢凯尔特人队与格拉斯哥流浪者队同城德比时，便有万人大合唱，响彻球场。如今在Vini Reilly手下听起来，激扬的女声几乎可以让人想见空旷处合唱的那种不可名状的悲越。
